Tarterie
What an independent tart café's website should feel like: an identity instead of a template, and ordering that works. We built it end to end, and this is exactly what your shop would get.
Mirabelle is a fictional brand. Photography is licensed stock.
What's in it
An identity, not a template
Most café sites could belong to any shop. Mirabelle is built around the product: French-editorial type, a crème and espresso palette, and motion that feels like the pastry case.
Ordering that actually flows
Seven whole tarts, an assorted-box flavour picker, pickup time slots, a cart, and checkout: a complete online ordering flow designed for how a small shop actually sells.
Mobile-first, fast
Most customers arrive from Instagram on a phone. Every screen was designed at 390px first, then scaled up.
Search-ready
Semantic markup, metadata, sitemap: the plumbing Google needs, which template builders bury.
Why we built a concept
Mirabelle Tarterie is a fictional Toronto café. We built it to show a small food business what a complete site looks like before they commit: a real ordering flow they can click through, not a mood board. It is the same approach we take with every client: the demo comes first, and it works.
What a café can take from it
Put the product first and the words second. Keep ordering to a few taps with pickup times the kitchen can actually meet. Make the menu real text rather than a photo of a chalkboard, so customers and search engines can both read it. And design for the phone in someone's hand after they saw your post on Instagram.
